Ath10k Driver Source Files

I may get a lot of flack for this question, but I have a question regarding finding the Atheros 10k driver source files. My question is, are the actual source codes (in C) actually available? I've found the Kvallo's ath10k source files https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k, but it says do not use, and there's also a ath10k_firmware stream that's active on https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware but it doesn't have any I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can still use the ath10k? Also, can I get it to compile the same image by just modifying the Makefile in the openwrt's ~/openwrt/package/firmware/ath10k-firmware/ directory? Thank you in advance for the help
